Shirley Temple Drink


The Shirley Temple Drink Cocktail is a non-alcoholic drink named in honour of Shirley Temple, the famous child star. It was first served at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii, which Shirley and other celebrities often frequented.


Recipe for Shirley Temple Cocktail

A thirst quenching Shirley Temple drink.

Makes one drink:

8 oz Club soda (or 7-Up) 1 oz Grenadine syrup
1 slice Orange
1 Red maraschino cherry

Mix soda and grenadine syrup. Serve in tall glass with straw garnished with orange and maraschino and - of course! - a little paper parasol as well.


Other Shirley Temple Drink Recipes

- lemon-lime soda can be substituted for the lemon-lime soda in the above recipe.
- or use ginger ale and orange juice in place of the lemon-lime soda.
- When made with lemon-lime soda, it is sometimes called a Kiddie Cocktail.
